Trippy Tray

I have been making things out of wood for as long as I can remember. One of my favorite past times was spending breakfast Saturday morning trying to talk my dad into a trip to the hardware store so I could work on one project or another. Of course I didn’t know then that woodworking would become so important to me later in life. I just loved the process of creating something with my hands out of a pile of wood. The process of coming up with an idea and seeing that come together and everything learned along the way is where it was at for me.

In the last 5+ years I have undergone massive changes in almost every part of my life and woodworking has become an integral part of my journey back to the light. Giving up alcohol was and still is one of the best things I have been able to do for myself and those around me. However I had used alcohol to numb myself from what was happening around me and in me and I desperately needed something to fill my time in a constructive manner as well as a decompression valve or an explosion of some kind was inevitable. Thankfully the universe gave me woodworking and put me in a place and time where I could pursue it. With almost every project I work on I am given a lesson not just in woodworking but in life as well. I am so grateful for this tool and continue to grow and expand how it can improve me and how I can improve my craft in it.

After a few years of making items for family and neighbors. I casually mentioned the possibility of starting a business and website to my daughter who was 10 at the time. She went and grabbed the laptop and before I knew it we were off and running. Comfortably crazy woodcraft had been born.

Our hope is that we are able to take these beautiful materials that Mother nature has given us, materials that were deemed to be “trash” and give them new life and meaning in the world. Just as the decision to stop drinking did for me.

If you have an idea for something that you would like in your home or office I would love to help see your vision come to life. Please send a description of your project to us on the contacted page.

Much Love!
